The main activity of this village continues to be fishing and its derivatives, with tourism nowadays, due to the beach, close to the Island of Armona-Fuseta and to the Camping that hosts hundreds of visitors in the summer.
Land of fishermen, it still conserves many of its houses cubically, topped by terraces – the roofs – with the curious balloon chimneys, typical of this area of the Algarve.
The Mother Church keeps some good images of the century. XVIII. Its churchyard is a viewpoint over the village, with vast horizons of the estuary and the sea.
The fishing port, colored by the boats, as well as the beach and all the riverside area, whose environmental recovery was recently awarded, are obligatory visits.
